Civil War is among us. Iron Man? Captain America? Whose side are you on?

The Amazing Spider-Man #532 dealt with the ultimatum given by Tony Stark for Peter Parker. It dealt with Parker going over the decision he would make and thinking of the consequences which could arise from it. The issue ended with us seeing Parker in front of the mic on a stand in front of an audience. We are left with Parker looking as if he was going to unmask himself, but weren’t sure if he would go through with it.

Did he unmask himself? The question has been answered. As we all learned from Civil War #2 Spider-Man did indeed unmask himself. Which brings us to The Amazing Spider-man #533.

The Amazing Spider-Man #533 deals with the repercussions of Peter Parkers decision to unmask himself. He is being stalked by numerous amounts of reporters. Having his name googled. Dealing with friends. Dealing with Iron-Man not being able to understand where he is coming from, and worst of all, he is dealing with the idea of having to face Captain America. We also find out who a lot of the other people are on Iron-Man’s side with this massive Civil War.

So what are my thoughts about all this? When I first read Civil War #1 I was against the registration act, and on Captain America’s side. I was all set ready for debate with anyone who wanted some. Registration act against no registration act. Captain America against Iron Man. Mutants/heroes against the public. I was ready. I wanted to defend the mutants that I have grown to love since my days as a young kid to today being a man and still loving them. So what happened? I read The Amazing Spider-Man #532, which entailed a speech given by Aunt May, and Mary Jane. The speech really made me think about both sides of the registration act. The reasons for the registration act, and the reasons for Aunt May, and Mary Jane wanting the unmasking, is two different reasons. I disagree with the registration act, but I understand the reasons Aunt May, and Mary Jane have.

Now that I have read The Amazing Spider-Man #533 I have made my decision one hundred percent. Whose side am I on with the Civil War? Captain America’s side. One hundred percent.

Aunt May and Mary Jane had good points and gave a good speech, but now that Parker actually unmasked himself, it was obviously a bad idea. We also see just how much Tony Stark is there for Peter Parker with this issue. He isn’t there for him much. Honestly it seems like he is just looking to do what makes him look good, in the eye of the government. We definitely see a selfish side of Tony Stark now, even more selfish than he usually is.

The ground work has been established, and with Civil War #1, Civil War #2, The Amazing Spider-man #532,andThe Amazing Spider-man #533, there is more than enough material for everyone to make a decision of whose side they are on with Civil War.

I think The Amazing Spider-Man #532, and The Amazing Spider-man #533 are issues that can let everyone decide for themselves what side to choose. The Amazing Spider-Man series has been a true tie-in series thus far, and it seems to only be getting better. I personally think it is better than the actual Civil War series going on itself right now.

Everyone who is reading Civil War should be getting this series right now. It’s a key factor with the war, and I say unite with this title before it’s too late.
