Eve: Vampire Diva once again impresses me with its super fast dialogue, Eve's quirky wit and amazing action scenes. Eve is on a mission acting as the Wizard's bodyguard when things goes terribly wrong as they often do when Eve is concerned. She once again finds that she has to fight her way out of a tight corner, while protecting her friend, and keeping more bad guys off her trail. She comes across Ethan, a werewolf under mind control and is on a wild rampage and he also happens to be her ex-boyfriend which throws Eve's life in chaos, and her agent Herbie isn't helping as he keeps Eve frustrated with his usual publicity stunts. We also learn how Eve keeps her inner vampire instincts under control too which is something I felt curious about since the first issue.

What I enjoyed the most about this book was Eve's attitude towards so many things. She has a lot of personality, and attitude but it's clear that Eve cares about people and she's just trying to live a normal life, or as normal as she possibly can as both a singer and an expert on the supernatural. Since there is a lot of dialogue and action in this story, I felt as if I was getting a lot of quality reading done in just one issue. It covered a lot of ground quickly, with the plot moving as fast as possible while keeping the reader on their toes with more surprises coming around each page. Eve: Vampire Diva balances a lot of humour, action and an interesting plot really well, so it combines to form an enjoyable read. Not only that but it's clear the writer has gone to great lengths to fully establish Eve's personality from the beginning, so we grow to like her as a strong character. The story has taken off now, so it's more focused around the plot, as the first issue covered certain aspects of each character's personality.

The artwork is done in an electrifying style that suits the crazy things that happen in this book. The art literally jumps out at you from the panels with its vibrant energetic style. There's also a touch of comically exaggerated features as tough situations make Eve lose her delicately balanced temper. I'm finding the art style suiting the book more than I first thought it would. The colouring is impressive, and I expected that from the previous issue, and it looks like it has been improved upon slightly too, with certain scenes using really nicely illuminated colours where magic is involved. The team of colorists consisting of Ash Jackson, Andrew Richardson and Nick Losso make a good team from the looks of it. The pencils also looked like they've improved as well, as the artist has become more comfortable in his own style.

I never thought I'd find myself enjoying the vampire genre quite a bit. It's a shame really that it is only a four-issue mini-series, but hopefully if there's enough readers, they can make it into an on-going series. I thought this title so far has turned out to be quite a surprise, and I'd recommend this book if you're looking for something different from the usual vampire stories, and if you enjoy lots of supernatural elements and vampire action as well. It's good to see more of a light-hearted and funny comic about this subject for a change.
