Eve, a well known singer and a vampire in secret is in trouble. There's a werewolf in her apartment and at the same time, her manager Herbie planned a big party in honour of Eve's recovery, so things get pretty complicated quickly. The outcome is not what you'd expect. To top it all off, Eve discovers that her new record executive is a vampire, and a powerful one too. Her party quickly turns into a disaster zone, and she's left to sort out the mess. Girdy soon realises that Eve is in trouble and that she may need his help but he arrives a little too late as she's already in danger. Unknowingly to Eve, there's more going on than an unstable werewolf on the loose.

The writer doesn't seem to miss a beat with this issue. The pacing of the story is quick, energetic and exciting. There's a lot of action and adventure, and new friends to be made. It's also great to see more character development in this issue. The dialogue between Barbie and Eve had me in fits of laughter as I watch their public facade fade away into nothing as their entire argument is televised. Does Eve care? No, that's the great thing about this character. Despite the fact that she's constantly being thrust into the public eye, she still has a down to earth attitude. There's some great new supporting characters in this issue, with someone you may recognise from the previous issue. There's such an upbeat and lighthearted atmosphere about this book, and this helps to make light of serious situations. The only thing missing was the absence of Eve's usual fighting outfit, but that's just because she didn't have time to change, as there's such a whirlwind chain of events.

The artwork seems to have improved by leaps and bounds. The artist has gained a lot of confidence since the beginning of the series. I'm enjoying watching the events unfold in the most bizarre and unlikely ways, and watching as Eve uses her vampiric powers to battle evil while avoiding the paparazzi. The art is an explosion of wild action. The colouring is nothing short of amazing. Since the beginning of the mini-series, the colouring has been impressive, and it continues to impress in this issue too. The anatomy of the characters has grown on me more now, it seems to suit the nature of the comic.

Eve: Vampire Diva is a book that I'd recommend to just about anyone who is a fan of the supernatural/vampire genre, and are searching for that burst of laughter that you'll experience while reading this. I'll also be frank and say that comics don't usually make me laugh, but this particular one just may be the exception. Teenage girls might like this book, as it's full of the excitement of a pop star's life as well as her secret life. I've found it impossible not to enjoy reading this book as it's full of humour, action, adventure and all the things that make a comic book fun to read.
