I discovered this book while I was on the Image Message Boards. I was just seeing what messages were new then I saw a link to this title here. I went onto the site and read the preview and thought it would be a nice read. I happen to come across the Ronin Studios booth and I purchased a copy of the first issue. So now that I have finally gotten to reading it, I’ll share with you all what I thought about it.

Absolute Zeroes starts off with the Ashley and Alex. The two siblings have a nice talk about Ashley’s day. Ashley was working her first day at a new job and everything is going well. Things take a spin when there is a sudden earthquake and her boss tells her to leave. She goes to make sure he is ok only to see him undressing. So now she learns of her boss being Vic Victory, one of the greatest heroes around. This is the start of many crazy things for this duo. The end shows more craziness as Alex discovers there was more to him then he ever knew.

The first issue is just the introduction issue. So the book itself is interesting and funny, but it has not reached its potential just yet. There are some funny moments like when Vic Victory visits the two at there home later and Ashley is wondering if he will mind wipe them. The book is strictly humor meets superheroes so far which I can enjoy. The cover alone has me laughing each time I see it.

I think Jeremy Dale does a great job getting the readers interested in the first issue. I know I will be ordering the second issue. His art is nice and reminds me a lot of Todd Nauck’s art.

The only thing that hurt this title for me was it was just only the beginning. I have a feeling it will be a great story. Absolute Zeroes is a rare and unique comic in today’s industry so far.
